About the Artist

Meagan has always been drawing or painting since childhood.  She pursued a secondary degree in illustration in a program but went in another direction all together with life and career until about 2019. The best part of the secondary art degree was the foundations program life drawing emphasis.  While her career is in the business world, drawing from life and painting has been an interest that has endured.

In 2019 Meagan began the self-taught journey of learning to oil paint, quickly gravitating to Plein-air, model sessions, and studio studies. After years of focusing on family and career, her interest in art since childhood was always there waiting.  Learning to paint in oils re-ignited her passion for art. She has been inspired from attending numerous live and virtual demos from contemporary artists. Sharing her knowledge of art and painting, she has taught classes on oil painting in studio and Plein air.  Meagan can be found Plein-air painting or working in her home studio in the evenings and on the weekends.
